What is Vitamin B12

What is Vitamin B12

The human body is pretty incredible. You scratch your skin, your body quickly sends cells to stop the bleeding, your skin begins to regenerate new skin to heal, you may have a mark, or s scar depending on the size of the cut, but your body essentially fixed itself. That is pretty incredible.

As awesome as our bodies are, there are certain things your body cannot do, producing Vitamin B12 is one of them.  Vitamin B12 is typically found naturally in animal products, and also added to certain foods.

Vitamin B12 supports the function of nerve cells, is needed for red blood cell formation, and DNA synthesis. Vitamin B12 benefits everyone's body a little different, but most see a boost in energy, improvement in memory, and it may help prevent heart disease.

There is no concrete evidence of how B12 helps play a vital role in your mood, but we do know that it plays a role in metabolizing serotonin, which is one of the leading chemicals for regulating your mood.

Bottom line:

We need Vitamin B12.
